Dr. Britta Gilbert PT, DPT, OCS, COMT

Britta Gilbert is a Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist (OCS) and Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT).  Britta graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor of science degree in 2001 and earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Marymount University in 2004 and 2007 respectively.  

Britta is passionate about treating the whole patient and addressing many aspects of wellness and healing.  Britta treats with an emphasis on the use of manual therapy techniques as well as teaching movement to maximize return to function and sports abilities!

Britta has a special passion for helping people with hip pain related to labral tears, hip impingement, muscle dysfunction, tendonitis, bursitis or after replacement. She specializes in discovering the root cause of the pain and helping patients get back to their active lifestyles.  

Britta strives to maintain an active lifestyle.  She was a collegiate swimmer at James Madison University, she has run the Marine Corps Marathon, participated in many triathlons and loves sailing, rock climbing, soccer and traveling internationally.  

She enjoys working with athletes of all kinds and skill levels including swimmers and triathletes and is able to share her knowledge of stroke mechanics and efficiency as well as injury prevention and recovery.  

Britta is a certified Pilates Instructor through Power House Institute.  She has previously taught Reformer classes and private sessions at Sport & Health at their Tysons Greensboro and Regency locations.  She utilizes core strengthening and stabilization techniques while teaching movement and is able to adapt Pilates to safely train those with prior injuries or limitations.

Dr. John Churan, PT, DPT

John grew up in Northern Virginia and has lived here since earning his undergraduate, political science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2011. Following years of working as a physical therapy aid and acquiring prerequisites, he achieved his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in 2020. During PT school, John developed skills in a variety of settings including outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation. 
 
Growing up, John enjoyed being active playing soccer, lacrosse, roller hockey, ultimate frisbee, and various other activities. He fell in love with road cycling during his time in Pennsylvania, and carries that passion for training and racing in local and national events today.

John aspires to provide physical therapy to each individual in a way that empowers their rehabilitation and health goals. He enjoys working with everyone’s unique ambitions and seeks to employ an evidence-based approach to every opportunity. He has worked within the clinic and in people’s homes, maximizing function and independence. 

John has enjoyed providing physical therapy to individuals across the lifespan. He has also acquired skills as a bike fitter in Washington DC’s oldest bike shop, and endeavors to continue helping others connect to what keeps them active.  

Dr. Jacqueline Stiles, PT, DPT, CPI

Jacqueline received her BFA in Dance and Arts Management minor from Marymount Manhattan College in 2003. She danced professionally in New York City with the Martha Graham Dance Ensemble and numerous small modern dance companies.

 Jacqueline earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University in 2014. She has worked in outpatient orthopedic clinics treating patients recovering from injury and orthopedic surgery. Jacqueline is a certified Pilates mat and apparatus instructor through Ellie Herman which she incorporates in her treatment sessions. Whether you are eager to return running marathons or want to play with your grandchildren, she understands that every client has their own individual goals and will assist you in achieving them.

She also has experience working in home health physical therapy treating patients with cardiac, respiratory, and neurological conditions. She enjoyed helping her clients recover from being deconditioned from a hospital stay back to independent living. Jacqueline also enjoyed working with her clients immediately after joint replacement surgery providing support and care for them until the appropriate and safe time to attend outpatient physical therapy.

Jacqueline also specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy. She received her specialty training through The Herman and Wallace Pelvic Institute. As a pelvic floor physical therapist, she helps patients with urinary and bowel incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, recovery from pelvic surgeries, diastasis recti, and post partum recovery for women. She is passionate about providing women the support they need after pregnancy and delivery.

Meagen Walsh, Office Manager and Aspiring PT

Meagen Walsh studied dance at Winthrop University and spent her summers dancing in the local amusement park. Meagen judges international talent competitions and travels annually with her competitive group to several different talent competitions and dance conventions. In 2009 Meagen auditioned her dancers and filmed with ABC’s Disney Christmas Parade with Kelly Ripa and the Jonas Brothers. In 2012 Meagen earned her 200-hr Yoga Teaching Certificate from YogaWorks in Costa Rica. Returning home she promptly started teaching yoga and incorporated it into her youth dance and acrobatic classes.

In 2013 Meagen was excited to announce she will be teaching dance internationally to the children in Nosara, Costa Rica, introducing Ballet, Tap and Contemporary to the local community. In collaboration with other industry professionals, Meagen co-founded “In Motion Dance Company” Nosara’s first performing arts school in 2014. In 2016 Meagen moved to the Northern Virginia area to coach acrobatics at a private academy while attending George Mason University. Working towards her prerequisites for Physical Therapy school, Meagen continues to audition dancers for the opportunity to perform in Disney World’s Holiday Spectacular Parade. Meagen plans to apply for a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program in 2019.
